About the Destination
Ierissos is the largest town on the eastern coast of Halkidiki, facing the Athos peninsula across a long sandy bay. It is a quieter destination than the Kassandra resorts, popular with families and travellers who prefer a more authentic Greek town atmosphere with a working fishing harbour.
