Meteora is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most striking landscapes in Greece, with six active Orthodox monasteries built on top of vertical sandstone pillars. The two villages directly below — Kalambaka and the smaller Kastraki — are the standard base for visitors and the starting point for all monastery visits.
The drive from Thessaloniki Airport heads south on the PATHE motorway, then turns west onto the E65 motorway near Larissa, crossing Thessaly to reach Kalambaka. The roads are modern, fast, and almost entirely motorway-grade.
Around 3 hours from Thessaloniki Airport to Kalambaka in normal traffic. We include one short comfort stop on the way.

Send us your flight number, arrival date, and your Kalambaka or Kastraki address. We reply within minutes with everything arranged — including the option of a combined airport-plus-monastery-tour service.
